Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Wisconsin Junior Membership in the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Wisconsin is a way to remind a young person of his or her MAYFLOWER Pilgrim heritage-proven descent through over 380 years from a MAYFLOWER passenger in 1620. Anyone under 18 years of age who is descended from a MAYFLOWER passenger can become a Junior Member. A Regular Member can sponsor a Junior Member by filling out a simple form and paying a one-time fee of $10.00. A Regular Member can apply for a Life Membership for a young person who is a MAYFLOWER descendant for a fee of $400.00 without paying the $40.00 initiation fee. After the age of 18 a Junior Member can apply for Life Membership for the same fee, or for Regular Membership, without paying the $40.00 initiation fee. Junior Members receive a certificate, and then picture postcards, letters, and literature on their birthdays. Their parents receive the Newsletter. A photocopy of the sponsor's membership application will help a Junior Member to become a Regular or Life Member. A Member can sponsor any child, possibly adopted or in a blended family, as a Junior Friend. He or she will receive a certificate similar to the Junior Member certificate, picture postcards, letters, literature, and Newsletters. The one-time fee is also $10.00.
